Cloud and computing continuum
Design and deployment of services and workflows that span edge, fog and cloud resources, including agnostic service meshes and the synchronisation of data science pipelines across the continuum.
Distributed systems for scientific and data science applications
My research focuses on improving the design and deployment of scientific and data science systems, with a particular interest in distributed systems, cloud computing and data processing workflows. My work covers, but is not limited to, the following topics.
Design and deployment of services and workflows that span edge, fog and cloud resources, including agnostic service meshes and the synchronisation of data science pipelines across the continuum.
Systems that support the data lifecycle of scientific and data science applications, from ingestion to continuous processing, such as the processing of health data.
Function-based and micro/nanoservice execution models for building and composing scalable processing workflows.
Techniques for distributing and storing data across heterogeneous infrastructures.
